Stephen R. Field

Stephen R. Field has been a practicing attorney for over 40 years. He initially practiced law with the well-established Wall Street firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed before becoming a partner at two prestigious New York City law firms. On March 1, 1994, Mr. Field opened his own law firm, Law Offices of Stephen R. Field, where he currently carries on a full-time practice.


Mr. Field served in the U.S. Army, first in Intelligence and later in the Judge Advocate General Corps, retiring as a Captain. He is a devotee of foreign affairs of which he has extensive knowledge.


“Worst Nightmare” is Mr. Field’s first novel. Over the course of his legal career, he has published many articles in various legal publications, including the annual New York University Tax Institutes and The Journal of Taxation.


The author is a graduate of Cornell University and Yale Law School, where he served on the Yale Law Journal. One of his articles, “Judicial Performance in the Fifth Circuit,” appeared in the Congressional Record and was cited at length by The New York Times.
